Curious JD wants a number to hang from and asks, “How much is a reasonable salary to have to put up with all of these things?”
Galen answers, $52.91. Well that’s what the BLS says.
The truth? It is relative. It’s like asking, how much do you want to spend on a car or on a house. It really depends on many factors. Curious is focusing on an artifical bottom-line, how much do you want to be paid.
Curious is swinging here, here and here — and making particularly insightful comments about the legislative process. Constituencies get active in the legislative process for many reasons, tort reform may very well not provide anything to the bottom-line, but then its more about collective angst and “we’re not going to take it anymore” in the driver’s seat.
EMTALA and HIPAA are great examples of constituencies starting the legislative process and ending up with a host of unintended consequences.

I think most would say a jackass would be a better character to represent me!
But a jackass would destroy the allusion to Curious George.
Completely missed it!!
It's been too long since I read it, and my daughter is still too young to read it. Good one.
